Communications Equipment for Public Safety Communicators surveys a variety of technologies (telephone, radio, and computer-aided dispatch systems) used in the communications industry in radio communications with an eye to emerging technologies. It is intended to provide call takers and dispatchers a means to keep abreast of technology, and support their application of creative solutions to problems in order to do their jobs effectively. This Canadian textbook is part of the Public Safety Communications program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
